Overview

Some Luciferians are theistic and view Lucifer as a real spiritual being, while others treat Lucifer as an archetype of enlightenment, independence, forbidden knowledge, or self-overcoming. The tradition overlaps with some forms of Satanism, occultism, Gnosticism, and left-hand path spirituality, but many Luciferians distinguish Lucifer from the Christian Devil or interpret both figures symbolically.
